Matt Landru was never shown before M-Day, although Cyclops remembers that they tried to recruit him to the Xavier Institute before, although he declined. He was actually first 'shown' at his own funeral (only his body was shown). His parents were very upset about his death, and even tried to blame it on the X-Men saying that the X-Men did not care and that he was just a name on a list. They also did not like the idea that he even was a mutant, or that he kept his powers. Certain mutants that attended his funeral were: Cyclops, Wolverine, Beast, White Queen, Iceman, Nightcrawler, Cannonball, Bishop, Multiple Man, Wolfsbane, Mercury, X-23, and non-mutants Rictor, and Professor X. Also present was Sebastian Shaw, who was disguised as the priest.[1]
Matt Landru's powers are unknown.
